BIKE TRANSALP 2024
The BIKE TRANSALP is possibly the most famous and toughest amateur mountain bike highlight in Europe. A MTB stage race for teams-of 2 and since 2018 also for individual bikers, which is unique in its structure and organization, leads in 7 day stages once across the Alps. The next edition will be staged from July, 9th to 15th, 2023, and will lead over some 500 km and 17,500 metres of climbing. The 2024 version of the Bike Transalp will let you discover entirely new stage towns and completely new trails! For more than two decades, up to 1,000 cyclists from more than 35 nations have taken on the challenge of the BIKE Transalp - the seven-day mountain bike stage race across the Alps. For the next anniversary edition, race director Marc Schneider has designed a special route cocktail with the best trails, spots and panoramas from the last years. The start in 2024 is in Ehrwald (AUT) and the finish in Arco, near lake Garda: the route covers 496.97 kilometres and 17,527 metres of altitude. The 2024 Transalp has no shortage of highlights. There's the crisp Marienbergjoch on day 1, playing with the Via Claudia Augusta, the old Roman road, on day 2, exploring the 3-country enduro trails on day 3, the epic trip around King Ortler on day 4, the extravagant Gavia Pass on day 5, the heartbreakingly beautiful Malga Movlina at the Brenta on day 6 and the cool trails on the Malga Ringia on day 7.
